beyond pisses me off that the US and england - two countries that did virtually nothing to stop the spread of covid on their own - are getting premier access to the vaccine just bc they have the $ and the desire to send all of us back to work asap no matter the human cost. meanwhile many countries in the so called third world that took covid seriously, locked down, and provided for their citizens without a second thought or complaint wont receive the vaccine until 2022 or beyond. totally fair and cool.

Literally the only reason so many Western ‘leftists’ are pro-military is because they don’t have to deal with the immediate consequences of its existence.

So when your mum or dad joins the military it was cuz they were poor and they prey on those who need money or are vulnerable but somebody else’s mum or dad becomes a cop and they’re a pig? Good cops don’t exist because they’re all complicit in the system but there are good vets and soldiers? They’re not complicit in the war crimes they’re participating in?

the reason you were able to read more and do more activities in a day when you were a kid than you do as an adult isn’t because you got stupider, it’s because as a child you generally had your base needs taken care of and your schedule provided to you, so you didn’t have to use as much of your mental and physical energy on planning, life maintenance (ie food and administrative tasks), and general executive function. of course you could focus on reading a novel in two days, somebody else made your lunches and you never thought about phone bills and you didn’t even have to decide for yourself when to take a bath. c’mon

I think so many of us were too young to understand this like truly too young to really grasp what he was saying but now I’m an adult adult and I can see it and people took it as a joke but this is absolutely serious

It took me a while to realize that this was a Democratic debate. The fact that Obama, Clinton, and Biden are all standing up there laughing while this man was talking about people dying in a lost war on foreign land, separated from their loved ones. They all just stood there and laughed, and look at what the Obama administration did. Look at the things that those three people allowed to happen. This is the type of stuff that the Biden administration will try to sweep under the rug, and we can not let that happen. 

This was twelve years ago. I’m sure a lot of us were not only underage and unable to vote, but too young to understand the full scale consequences of what was being debated.  If you want to hold the Biden administration accountable (and you should) then we can not let these kind of things go unpunished.
